Based in the time of Cromwell, it follows several people through their experiences and the twists and turns of life's luck. An interesting look at life at the time, how the paths of fate cross, overlap and entwine. Graphic battle scenes and sieges may be skipped over if you're a bit on the squeamish side! A good read if you've a couple of hours to set aside to get into it, then unputdownable. .
